How Ce saved my life today

After last week's B*bo episode, I didn't think I'd let anything panic me again so soon, but it did. Ticketmaster was today's cuplrit.

I've never used it before, but needed to buy some tickets, and they weren't on sale when I tried to buy them last week. In fact, the online ticket office wasn't open until 10am on 20th Feb, which was this morning. Soooo, at about 9.58am today, I positioned myself in front of my new T'master account, ready to buy the tickets.

REFRESH, REFRESH. Office closed. REFRESH. It's still closed. REFRESH. REFRESH. REFRESH... REFRESHHHHHH! It's open! I am at the front of the virtual queue! Eeek!

I am urged to be very quick, because if I make one wrong move or if I'm too slow, the tickets may be given to someone else and I'll have to start the whole thing all over again, only to find they've all run out and I can't buy them anyway. Not much pressure, eh?

Click on venue of choice, click on number of tickets, enter mystery word. CONTINUE. No tickets available. REPEAT. No tickets available. REPEAT FIVE MORE TIMES. Definitely no tickets available. PANIC.

CHANGE VENUE, REPEAT. SUCCESS!

ENTER CARD DETAILS. *Credit* card details are needed - failure - I don't have one! (They scare me) PANIC. LOOK ON MSN, SEE CE. BEG CE. Ce gives me her details. THANK CE FOR SAVING LIFE.

ENTER *CREDIT* CARD DETAILS. Failure - I took longer than the allotted three minutes to fill in the form. PANIC AGAIN.

REPEAT ABOVE, IN A FRENZY, IN UNDER THREE MINUTES.

SUCCESS! HOORAY! Thank f*ck for that.

And yes, I know I'm meant to be working... bye!

Are we allowed to ask what the tickets were for?!

it's a SECRET!

More worryingly is the fact that you transmitted credit card over an open access network with no forms of security at all.

MSN is not secure - do not transmit anything that is meant to be private over it in the future unless you are making use of an encypted chat.

How stupid do you think we are?! We sent it via email, and promptly deleted the evidence!

...that's even worse!!

Email is extremely insecure
