Signs of Age

After our trusty hoover finally, sadly, died (I managed to break it in two places through overuse - we do have a very hairy dog), we decided to take advantage of the Currys January sale and are now rather surprised owners of a Dyson DC08.

C, who usually groans at the briefest mention of hoovering, has become a woman possessed, slotting all the pieces together with sparkly eyes, exclaiming in wonder at the variety of 'hoses' we have to plug on the end, and dashing around The House We Thought Was Clean with it, producing jaw-dropping amounts of fur and grey stuff. Scary indeed. Everything they say about Dysons is true!

"I know you're blogging about my new-found interest in hoovering, and I don't care." C announces, mid-dash through the kitchen, Dyson in tow.

I am, and I'm not complaining at all. I like being old.

Same(ish) Dyson as my parents, they got one about 16 months ago. Dad went through the entire house with it, and wouldn't let anyone use. The number of cylinders he could fill became an obsession.

Methinks, just leave them to it. At least you get someone else to do the work. ;)
