(And yes I would probably have been cross but I'm not, so K was kind of right; she knows me well... but anyway you would be cross too if you had to grapple with the amount of spam comments as I do every day - they are reaching huge numbers - I just need to follow A's advice and get rid of them soon... everywhere I look, I see spam! It's in my email inboxes too! Agh! No more spam! Please! Take heed, all you evil spammers out there! Agh!)

You could always consider moving to Wordpress (and have Akismet running - it's a bloody fantastic anti-spam engine)
Failing that, then you could always do some coding and have this:

You're gonna to get loads of spam unless you do some work to prevent them attacking you all the time.
