Help!?
My mobile phone is slowly dying, and as much as it pains me to admit it, I need a new one. Well, there's not much point having a phone that randomly switches itself off or stops having a signal. It's bl**dy annoying, actually. At least I've squeezed every possible bit of life out of it, as I've had it for aaaaaaages and I'm quite surprised it still works.
Anyway. I don't know what to do now! I can do computers and things but I don't know much about mobiles. So I've been looking at the websites and stuff but am still not much cleverer. I have decided not to buy a PDA or a Blackberry (are they the same thing or different?!), and probably not to get a contract. I also don't care if my new phone has a camera or you can play games on it or whatever... just want one that works!
To be more precise, I need a phone that:
- Won't break easily (am thinking of the Nokia 5100 but it has a FM radio in it(!!)... well, C might like that..!)
- Is preferably a Nokia
- Has a good tariff with no talk time and texts only - is that possible?!
- Isn't pink or whatever
- Doesn't cost £2m
- Isn't worth stealing.
My latest idea has been that I could buy a SIM card from Orange that will give me 1000 'free' texts for £10 top up a month, then I can put it in any old phone I decide to buy, right?
But I don't wanna change my number.... my life's complicated enough already! Maybe I should just go to the Carphone Warehouse or the Orange shop and see what they have to say, unless some kind soul can give me any advice?!
That is assuming anyone cares..!

Hey why not a contract with Orange 3,000 texts for a month for 20 pounds... that is what Im on now.....

Find someone with an old orange nokia mobile that they don't use anymore (cos they've upgraded) and just move the sim card ?? Nothing to loose if you're successful !

Hey, funny you should say that... I now have a reconditioned (recycled!?) Nokia 5140! Thank god. It's purple too :-D xx

Of course it will be Nokia! Promise me you will not even look at other brands! Hey are there 3G mobiles yet in UK? C'mon! Video calls! Imagine answering the phone in a shopping centre and yap away signing!
