Things That Annoy Me Part 10
21) Broadband equipment that blows up. Was offline for two days this week (and I have to say it was kind of peaceful) cos my router plug blew up inside and died. Funnily enough, A had the exact same problem last week, and so did the man in the shop, who said if we phoned Belkin they would send a new one. Phoned Belkin, who sent a new one, no questions asked. Well, I have a question for them: "If you KNOW your equipment is crappy, why sell it?! Some of us have jobs that depend on broadband, thankyouverymuchfornothing."
22) Being dependent on the Internet to the point of obesssion. See above. Life was so much simpler when people used inky pens and paper for work, was it not?

This is a thought I have often...what the hell did we do before the Internet?! Are our lives REALLY enhanced by this whizzkid development?!

And it means I get to fiddle with HTML and teach myself things. Hm. Not to mention online Mahjong and other Time Wasting Things!

I think the internet is wonderful! But then I would say that; I'm addicted to it - just ask my fiancée. It's nice to be in constant touch with people the world over, and you've always got company (sad I know).
The biggest thing for me about the internet is that you can find information that you want to know within minutes. That is a luxury they didn't have pre-1990s.
